I first met Gloria Munsen when I stopped by the Saigon South GRT store in District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City. She was planning a multi-day tour of the Mekong Delta and needed help planning a route and outfitting her unique Dahon folding touring bike for her journey.

Laid back Laos
To the people of Vientiane, this is the time of year when the river is low,roads are dusty and dry and the new season rains are approaching.To the traveller it is a time of heat, dust and beer Lao!
The numerous and interesting Wat's and stupas of this humble buddhist town give it a charm and attraction which is best appreciated from the saddle of a bicycle. It almost feels as if bicycles were invented just for travel in Laos.
